Billy Holiday has hooked me up many a time... So here is my recipe for a sad day:

A glass of scotch (or wine for you light weights), dim lights, a comfortable chair/couch and Billy's song titled "I'll be seeing you" - done and done...

I?ll be seeing you
In all the old familiar places
That this heart of mine embraces
All day and through
In that small cafe
The park across the way
The children's carrousel
The chestnut trees
The wishing well

I?ll be seeing you
In every lovely summer?s day
In everything that?s light and gay
I?ll always think of you that way

Cathedral bells were tolling
As our love sang on.
Was it the spell of paris,
Or just the april dawn?
Who knows if we will meet again,
Love with morning chiming sweet again

I?ll find in the morning sun
And when the night is new
I?ll be looking at the moon
But I?ll be seeing you

I love Billie Holiday...however, my favorite recipe of hers for a Sad Day (wouldn't exactly call it a remedy though) is:

Good morning heartache
You old gloomy sight
Good morning heartache
Thought we said goodbye last night
I turned and tossed until it seems you heve gone
But here you are with the dawn
Wish I forget you, but youre here to stay
It seems I met you
When my love went away
Now everyday I stop Im saying to you
Good morning heartache whats new

Stop haunting me now
Cant shake you nohow
Just leave me alone
Ive got those monday blues
Straight to sunday blues
Good morning heartache
Here we go again
Good morning heartache
Youre the one
Who knows me well
Might as well get use to you hanging around
Good morning heartache
Sit down

haha. I try to be a poet, but most likely, the reality is that I'm a shit disturber. However, in my own best interest - I refuse to accept reality and substitute it with my own. Therefore - I am a poet.
