Adam Lambert kissed his keyboarder on primetime
What do you think, was it out of line, or was it the same as Madonna and Britney`s very long wet one a few years ago?

Double standard or righteous indignation?

But Jammer - the AMAs aren't early evening entertainment. They don't come on until 9 p.m. Most of the other award shows on network tv like the Oscars, Grammys or Emmys usually start when it's still daylight around 5 or 6 p.m. The AMAs were on a Sunday night which meant school the next day. Why weren't those children in bed instead of watching tv? That's why I was surprised by the outrage. I agree that parents should discuss controversial issues while watching WITH their children. Then things won't be a shock. But Lambert's performance was very late in the show - around 10:15 OR 10:30. Kids really should have been asleep by then. Its ok if they don't get to watch the whole show.

It had a short term negative effect it seems. His album is selling well, and the Early show picked him up to perform on Wednesday after GMA cancelled his performance. I saw him on David Letterman (and no I didn't tune in just to see him). No controversial moves. Maybe he's learned something from the experience. If he's smart, he'll restrict the more provocative stuff to late night cable shows. The negative controversy isn't worth it.

You may well be right, anewworld. I really dont too much care if two guys kiss, it aint hurting nobody. Or at least, I dont think it does. BUT...
many parents felt it was an inappropriate action on a family oriented show and in a way I agree. On the other hand, if those same parents take time to explain to their kids that not all men (or women) are attracted to the opposite sex, then really answer their kids questions, maybe some of the shock and awe will go away...

That was excessive.
Yes, he got `em talking, but with such a negative effect it seems to have backfired.

Women kissing will always titillate men, and women will tolerate it. Two men kissing will seem threatening to most men and women who view it. I don't recall that Madonna, Britney or Christina had any appearances cancelled after their kiss. He might have a point that the response is more negative for him.
