Geez..Thats one of the reasons I left the site.. Now for some of the lighter thinkers out there.. I in no way support or defend Obama..Here are 2 objective comments..Some say he is a Muslim....His middle name Huassan is Arabic..****Arabic is a language NOT a religon..
#2-Some say he always argues with Hillary... To that I say..From the beginning of his campaign he has been very careful NOT to scathe anyone.. This is seen in 2 different ways.. One way is as a sophisticated, educated, polished, maybe too polished lad..Or as weak where the personal interest groups say "you can walk all over him".. Hillary in her desperation would love to get him in a debate (actually a mental/verbal street fight)--to drop him DOWN a few notches below his sophistication level..
I will admit that Hillary appears convincing in a debate but I think Obamas strength is actually speaking to the people..Comments welcome..

Rumple, in all fairness.. According to the World Health Organization and "others".. based on things like how many even have healthcare, life expectancy, affordable prescriptions, quality of healthcare.. The U.S. is rated about # 36 in healthcare for countries that have over one million inhabitants.. At our current pace I dont see us ever even getting in the top 10! This is partially because of greedy lawyers,(the John Edwards type) Unconscientious, alcoholic healthcare CEOs who take advantage of the system, and some negative press that doctors have gotten recently.

one of 'bama's major strengths IS his speaking, his oratory one of the best around. compared to that which surrounds him there is no competition and don't even insult the ability with that which is currently seated. but to base one's lever pulling on an oral fixation is almost akin to the same rationale that says, 'i voted for this one, cuz i didn't want that one.' there may be more to be concerned with in the process itself with race for delegates, super delegates, chads on the floor, nepotism while voting and most of all the imbalance of the electoral college vs. the popular vote... rectify the latter and may very well correct the former... populations and demographics have changed with time... 'bama is right about at least one thing...CHANGE when all it takes to be governor is to marry a kennedy and or a father who was in the white house and a brother in a state capitol... there is something wrong with the landscape.... so lets throw this in the soup mix and see what churns up... ken blackwell of the new york sun ran this in his column...

It's an amazing time to be alive in America. We're in a year of firsts in this presidential election: the first viable woman candidate; the first viable African-American candidate; and, a candidate who is the first frontrunning freedom fighter over 70. The next president of America will be a first. We won't truly be in an election of firsts, however, until we judge every candidate by where they stand. We won't arrive where we should be until we no longer talk about skin color or gender. Now that Barack Obama steps to the front of the Democratic field, we need to stop talking about his race, and start talking about his policies and his politics. < /FONT> The reality is this: Though the Democrats will not have a nominee until August, unless Hillary Clinton drops out, Mr. Obama is now the frontrunner, and its time America takes a closer and deeper look at him. Some pundits are calling him the next John F. Kennedy. He's not. He's the next George McGovern. And it's time people learned the facts. Because the truth is that Mr. Obama is the single most liberal senator in the entire US. Senate. He is more liberal than Ted Kennedy, Bernie Sanders, or Mrs. Clinton. Never in my life have I seen a presidential frontrunner whose rhetoric is so far removed from his record. Walter Mondale promised to raise our taxes, and he lost. George McGovern promised military weakness, and he lost. Michael Dukakis promised a liberal domestic agenda, and he l ost. Yet Mr. Obama is promising all those things, and he's not behind in the polls. Why? Because the press has dealt with him as if he were in a beauty pageant. Mr. Obama talks about get ting past party, getting past red and blue, to lead the United States of America. But let's look at the more defined strokes of who he is underneath this superficial "beauty." Start with national security, since the president's most important duties are as commander-in-chief. Over the summer, Mr. Obama talked about invading Pakistan, a nation armed with nuclear weapons; meeting without preconditions with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who vows to destroy Israel and create another Holocaust; and Kim Jong II, who is murdering and starving his people, but emphasized that the nuclear option was off the table against terrorists - something no president has ever taken off the table since we created nuclear weapons in the 1940s. Even Democrats who have worked in national security condemned all of those remarks. Mr. Obama is a foreign-policy novice who would put our national security at risk. Next, consider economic policy. For all its faults, our health care system is the strongest in the world. And free trade agreements, created by Bill Clinton as well as President Bush, have made more goods more affordable so that even people of modest means can live a life that no one imagined a generation ago. Yet Mr. Obama promises to raise taxes on "the rich." How to fix Social Security? Raise taxes How to fix Medicare? Raise taxes. Prescription drugs? Raise taxes. Free college? Raise taxes. Socialize medicine? Raise taxes. His solution to everything is to have government take it over. Big Brother on steroids, funded by your paycheck. Finally, look at the social issues. Mr. Obama had the audacity to open a stadium rally by saying, "All praise and glory to God!" but says that Christian leaders speaking for life and marriage have "hijacked" - hijacked - Christianity. He is pro-partial birth abortion, and promises to appoint Supreme Court justices who will rule any restriction on it unconstitutional. He espouses the abortion views of Margaret Sanger, one of the early advocates of racial cleansing His spiritual leaders endorse homosexual marriage, and he is moving in that direction. In Illinois, he refused to vote against a statewide ban - ban - on all handguns in the state. These are radical left, Hollywood, and San Francis co values, not Middle America values. The real Mr. Obama is an easy target for the general election. Mrs. Clinton is a far tougher opponent. But Mr. Obama could win if people don't start looking behind his veneer and flowery speeches. His vision of "bringing America together" means saying that those who disagree with his agenda for America are hijackers or warmongers. Uniting the country means adopting his liberal agenda and abandoning any conflicting beliefs. But right now everyone is talking about how eloquent of a speaker he is and - yes - they're talking about his race. Those should never be the factors on which we base our choice for president. Mr. Obama's radical agenda sets him far outside the American mainstream, to the left of Mrs. Clinton. It's time to talk about the real Barack Obama. In an election of firsts, let's first make sure we elect the person who is qualified to be our president in a nuclear age during a global civilizational war."

At this time I have no comment about any of them. I never pay attention when they are all fighting with each other for their party's nomination. I wait until I know who is actually running and then I listen to what they are saying. From what I have heard Obama has been trying to keep this race out of the muck and mire. Whenever things don't go her way Clinton seems to want to mud sling. Now Obama's camp has done some mud-slinging; but not alot.
Well thats what Im saying Obama has kept race out of this and is trying to follow the high road, not bickering or being too abrasive.. A lot may not realize this.. Also he has to sling mud at least a little... Because if he doesnt people will say "He doesnt fight/back, he rolls over and dies when someone attacks him.. Not good for a possible president to be.. Two comments:
1) Almost appears that Hillary is ready to get down, funky and dirty even at her parties expense..
2) Almost seems like Jesus Christs comment "turn the other cheek" may have a paradoxical effect in the nasty world of politics..

**Geez vidcom- glad someone out there has the guts to communicate. (Im not saying its always easy)..
At this time I have no comment about any of them. I never pay attention when they are all fighting with each other for their party's nomination. I wait until I know who is actually running and then I listen to what they are saying. From what I have heard Obama has been trying to keep this race out of the muck and mire.
Obama seems to be in a CAN'T WIN situation. He is likely to be viewed either as an ANGRY BLACK MAN or as a PASSIVE BLACK MAN. Sheesh!!! What do THEY want???
Hillary is a smart woman, who just happens to be married to a SERIAL ADULTERER...but she is not about to let THAT get in the way of her AMBITIONS to RULE THE WORLD. **LOL**
Throughout much of this Democratic campaign, Hillary has been trying to discredit Obama on several fronts(while dodging sniper bullets no less), and now her campaign, which is on LIFE SUPPORT(she is now using her own money to continue this campaign), would take nothing short of a miracle to win the Dem. Ticket. Sooo...stay tuned.
P.S. Hey ...welcome back to the blogs. You were missed.
