New York city (esp. Manhattan) is an "old", eclectic, volatile city with a swagger that can come and go... Many people with various backgrounds and mindsets....Many people have dogs... Recently the fine was increased if someone does not pick up after their dog!.. I sometimes go swimming at the state park on Riverside Drive.. Some do not pick up after their dog on the out skirts of the park.. I was thinking: While increasing the fine is ok.. What should be done is this..Actually film a brave cop in the act of giving someone a ticket for not picking up after their dog!!..Then put it on Youtube.. I think this would help.. Instead of supposely increasing the fine and not really doing ANYTHING!

Rome is worse than NY for dog poop everywhere. I lived there for 6 months. I kid you not, I stepped in it THREE times a day for the first week. (It didn't help that we were walking all around for 6 hours a day) and then I got good at looking down all the time, but I got lazy the last day and stepped in it TWICE! damn those dog owners!

Yes , so much can be said about "it"... Where do you start????
