Dear Realtor ... clear as day. A wink is nothing more than a sign of interest, a starting point without expectations ... a let's see what comes of it.
Speaking from a female perspective, the hype comes from the hope generated by a profile which highlights the characteristics sought by the other party ... the wink therefore is laden with hope, subconsciously as a function of frequenting a "dating" website in the first place.
Do you get what I mean? They don't do it on purpose, its a side effect of the emotional state induced by the activity. A really hot picture just makes it all that much worse! lol

Hey NYCREALTOR ... if you were to be honest with us please ... the whole coffee & chat thing is just another screener. We all have them. If you met up with someone whose profile really interested you AND you felt chemistry AND she was willing to go beyond coffee & a chat ... you would stick to your wink over generalization? You would finish your coffee & chat and go home alone to set up the next meeting over the website? Really? Afterall the wink means so much and to do more would mean such a huge long term committment. Hmmmm ... I don't know.
