I heard that line in a movie and it made me laugh out loud. I thought of all the people I know who are chronic procrastinators and laughed. The thing is, I'm at the top of the list of procratinators but I don't think THAT'S funny, I think it's a pain in the butt!
Right now I have to move. I'm taking a bigger apartment in my building and I'm supposed to be moved in the weekend of the 18th I think. Of course, nothing is ready. I haven't packed anything yet (although I have been collecting boxes). My motivation level is low for this task. I'm happy that I'm only going up the hall and not outside. I don't know how many times, maybe 4, that I've moved on feburary 1st and froze.
I don't want to push this off until the last minute and then run around like crazy doing everything at once. I want to keep the stress level of this move as low as I can. So, my plan is to pack a room everyday and report my progress so I can keep track of how much I'm really getting done. I'll start in the smallest room, the bathroom, and go from there.
Now that I have the plan and a deadline, I can pace myself and keep going like the turtle in the race. I know I can conquer this procrastination obsticle.
It wouldn't be bad to have a crew come in and do this for me, though...lol!

The move is moving along. It feels endless to me and I think I'm not getting things accomplished until I step back and look. That's when I can see my progress. The last few days this week I've been working on the kitchen. Little by little I'm getting everything down off shelves and out of cabinets (not that I have much stuff or many cabinets in this kitchen)to be packed. I find that things get packed faster if I put them out on the stove. I need to use my stove so I have to pack the stuff up to clear the surface. My goal for the rest of today is to get the corner by the window packed and the floor mopped. I need to create an area to stack boxes and things as I pack them. Right now everything is finding its way to the centers of rooms and I don't think that's going to work for very long. Right now I have a sinkful of dishes soaking in the sink which will take me in there to get back to it. I wish I had bought some Mountain Dew when I was out at the store yesterday :(

Happy New Year! Well, I got the bathroom done 2 days ago. That's one I can check off the list. I bought a new mop yesterday and I'm burning to use it so today I'll be working on the kitchen and mopping floors.
I'm also trying to eat what I have left in my cupboard so I won't have to pack it. I'm getting tired of beans and rice, which is what I'm down to at this point. I guess I should mix it up a little, I also have ramen and instant mashed potatoes..smiles.
I have one week of christmas break left so if I can stay focused, I should have no problem being done by the end of next week.
I stocked up on 5 Hour Energy drinks to help me out.....
